Bizarre Breeding is the second documentary in the highly praised 6-part BBC series Weird Nature.
This part explores nature's weirder breeding practices and mating rituals, from the outlandish to the macabre. Topics include the scorpion courtship dance; the Bower birds' accumulation of blue items to show off to females; mice frantically searching for females to mate with until they die from exhaustion; the Praying Mantis' eating of the male partner after copulation; aquatic gender bending; and much more.
